Click the Log In menu, then type your username and password.

Once logged in, the ILS modules are displayed as sidebar menu items at the left side of the page.See Figure 1 below.

The Administration Module contains the following sub-modules: Users, Roles, Permissions, Institutions, Batch Import and MARC Frameworks. Click the Administration Module link on the side bar to hide/unhide the sub-modules. This behavior is also applicable to all other ILS modules. See Figure 2 below.

3.1 Viewing the Paginated List of Users and Searching/Deleting Specific Users

To display the list of users, click the User menu item under the Administration module on the sidebar.See Figure 3 below.

1. To search a specific user, enter the name in the search bar on the right side of the page.

2. To delete a user, click the red Delete button on the right side of the table rows.Click Yes to complete action

3.2 Adding and Editing Users

1. To add or create users for the system, click the New User, button then fill up the basic information needed.Click Create to complete the action.See Figure 5 and 6 below.

2. To edit account details of the users, choose an entry then click Edit (blue button). Then you can start editing the user account details.Choose which Role,Campus and College you desire to access information. Click Update to complete action.See Figure 7 and 8 below.

Click the Roles sub-module, then you can see the list of roles.See Figure 9 below.

4.1 Adding Roles/Assigning Permissions

  • To add/create a role, click the button New Role, then fill up the basic information needed.
  • To assign permissions, tick the checkboxes beside the permission(s) you want to set for the role you are creating.Click Create button to complete action.

4.2 Editing the Roles

  • To edit the account details of the roles, choose an entry on the list then click the blue Edit button. Then you can start editing the roles account details. Click the Update button to complete action. See Figure 9 below.

  • To view the permissions list, Click the Permission sub- module the you will see the list of permissions.See Figure 12 below.

5.1 Adding and Searching the Permissions

  • To add the permissions, click the blue New Permissions button, then fill up the basic information.Click Create to complete action. See Figure 13 below.
  • * To search a permission, type keywords on the search bar on the right side of the page. See Figure 13 below.

5.2 Editing and Deleting the Permission

  • To edit a permission, click the blue Edit button on the side column of the table list of permissions.You can start editing the permissions details, then click Update to complete action.See Figure 14 and 15 below.

  • To delete a permission, click the red Delete button on the side column of the table list of permissions. Click Yes to complete action.See Figure 16 and below.

  • To view the list of institutions, click the Institution sub-module, then you will see the list of the institutions.

6.1 Adding and Searching the Institutions

  • To add an institution, click the blue New Institution button on the upper right side of the page. Fill up the needed information. Click Create to complete action. See Figure 18 and 19 below.

  • To search institutions, type keywords on the search bar to find an institution.

6.2 Editing and Deleting an Institution

  • To edit an institution, click the red Edit button. You can start editing the basic information of the institution then click Update to complete action.See Figure 21 and 22 below.

  • To delete an institution, click the red Delete button on the table in the page. Click Yes to complete action. See figure 23 below.

  • To view list of imported batches list, click the Batch Import sub module to see the list. See Figure 24 below.

7.1 Viewing a Batch Import

  • To view a Batch Import, click the View button on the right side of the list.You will see the information about the Batch Import on the upper part of the page and the records list on the lower part of the page.See Figure 25 and 26 below.

7.2 Viewing the Binary

  • To view MARC record in binary , click View Binary button. Click Close button to finish action. See Figure 27 and 28 below.

7.3 Viewing the XML

  • To view the MARC record in XML format, click View XML button. See Figure 29 and 30 below.

  • To import Library Data/Batch, click on the Import Batch module, then click the New Upload button to add MARC file/s. Fill out the Charset Encoding (default is UTF-8) then fill out the other information needed. Choose which Record type and write comments if you want to have notes. Click Stage Marc file button to complete action.

8.1 Searching the Batch Import

  • To search a batch import, type keywords on the search bar on the right side of the page. See Figure 33 below.

  • To view list of MARC Frameworks, click the Administration Module then click the MARc Framework in the sub modules. You can see the table list of MARC Frameworks. See Figure 34 below.

9.1 Adding and Searching the MARC Framework

  • To add a framework, click the New Framework button on the upper right side of the page. Enter the framework code and description, then click Create to complete action. See Figure 35 and 36 below.

  • To search, type keywords on the search bar on the right side of the page. See Figure 37 below.

9.2 Editing and Deleting a MARC Framework

  • To edit a MARC Framework, click on the blue Edit button on the side of the table list of the frameworks. See Figure 38 and 39 below.

  • To delete a MARC Framework, click the red Delete button, then click Yes to complete action. See Figure 40 below.

Note: When you are editing a MARC framework, you can make add and search its field and sub-field.See Figure 40 below.

Viewing the Configuration Module

  • To view Configuration Listings, click the Configuration Module then you will see sub-modules (Location, Circulation Types, Campuses, Colleges, Holidays, System Messages, Non-filling Words, Announcements, Academic Years and Item Types). see Figure 41 below.

Click the Locations sub- module ,then you will see list of locations available. See Figure 42 below.
